AIPMT: Doing The Best to Beat The Rest

AIPMT or simply All India Pre-Medical Test is an examination which is conducted every year by CBSE- Central Board of Secondary Education in India. It is the largest educational management board in the country. AIPMT is an exam which decides the fate of millions of aspiring doctors and medical practitioners every year. The selected candidates from this exam are eligible for admission to the top medical and dental colleges of India as per the norms and conditions set by the government. Clearing AIPMT is not everybody’s cup of tea and hence there are certain points which have to be taken care of if you are aiming for AIPMT. This test is conducted in two stages- preliminary test and final exam. It is to be made crystal clear that the students clearing the preliminary test are eligible to sit for final test. It means that a student needs to take preliminary test very seriously and make sure that the preparation is well done with the help of coaching classes, study materials and lectures. Ignoring lectures and relying completely on study materials is not a positive sign as there are certain points which can be understood only in the class lectures. Candidates appearing for this exam have to be the citizens of India and above 17 years and below 25 years of age.
It is also mandatory to clear 12th before appearing in exam with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English for both the general category students and SC/ST/OBC category students. But the final marks required for the former are 50% and for the latter it is 40% in all the subjects. Preparation for AIPMT can be done as per the pattern of the paper and the syllabus. Both the preliminary and final exam presents objective questions to the students with four options. Preliminary paper consists of 200 questions whereas the number reduces to 120 in final exam. One needs to make sure that no stone is left unturned to do the best and grab top merit positions to pave a way for top medical colleges. It is always recommended to register with an excellent coaching centre to prepare hard for this exam. Registering with a coaching center ensures coverage of whole syllabus which might not be possible if one prepares personally. The option of coaching centers opened specially by CBSE is also viable and secure as they specialize in preparing a student for this exam only. Syllabus for the exam is released by CBSE every year and consists of various fields from physics, chemistry, biology and zoology. Preparation for this exam requires a cool mind and instead of running from pillar to post nervously, it is better to take regular self judging online tests and go through sample papers to get familiar with the pattern and improve speed to answer the questions. Online websites can help a lot as they provide with free question papers. Handwritten and easy notes taken by students can really prove to be a magic wand and make a difficult problem a lot easier.
