Why So Many Students Prefer To Study In Canada

There is no doubt that studying in abroad will give excellent opportunities to a person for learning various important things that are helpful in building his/her career.

Today, a good name has been earned by Canada in the provision of safe environment and quality education to the children. This is the reason why there is an enrollment of 130,000 students in reputed Canadian Universities. Utmost importance is given by Canada to education. First rate education system has been developed along with high standards. Students are given a unique experience of education, versatile culture and arts as it is an ideal education designation.

More money is spent by Canada on education rather than on any other sector. Study in Canada is very cost effective and world class education is offered by its universities. These universities are very affordable as compared to other universities in the world such as UK, New Zealand and US. The cost of living and education in these countries is very high. There was a survey taken in 2006 by the Association of Commonwealth Universities. According to this survey, the lowest tuition fees are offered for foreign students by Canada.

International students are attracted towards Canadian Universities due to peaceful safe environment and low intensity of crimes. There are 175 community colleges and 92 universities in Canada. Three levels of degrees are offered by universities. These levels include Bachelors degree, Master’s degree and Doctoral degree.

A bachelor’s degree in Canada will comprise of a three or four years full time program depending on its nature. It can be a regular course or a specialized course. On the other hand, Masters Degree comprises of a 2 years study. Honors degree is very imperative. For Doctoral program in the University of Canada, minimum three to four years of extensive study and research is required. It includes a doctoral degree in Music and a PhD. Sometimes, LLD can also be obtained from these universities.

Many certification and diploma programs are also found in Canadian universities. The course duration is usually 1 to 2 years. Apart from regular degree in engineering and management, a person can also obtain professional degrees in various fields such as law, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing and medicine. After completing these studies, a person can find great job offers within Canada itself. Students who are having a Diploma or a Canadian Degree can work up to one year. A work permit is required by international students for working on campus.

Many international students who are ready to study in Canada have to get a study permit from Immigration. Students will also find that Scholarship programs are being run by the Universities in Canada. If the expense of education cannot be afforded by students, they can opt for these programs as well. However, they have to secure at least 90 to 95 percent marks in the merit. However, TOEFL is the basic exam that every international student has to undergo. The score of TOEFL is a deciding factor for the admission in top Canadian Universities.
